Tips & Tricks:

~ As a Musky angler, I often do not like to even bring my fish into the boat..or at least the smaller ones.  The catch though was that I still wanted to measure my catch to keep up with my record keeping.  What I did with a couple of your BOATRULES was to place them just above the waterline on the exterior of my boat - one on each side.  Now I simple can "land" my catch and measure it quickly against my boatside ruler beforeya nice safe quick release. ~ I recently added a BOATRULE to my steelhead arsenal.  For years I have been using a Rodrule, still do in fact!  But I have found that when using a net it is an nice addition to have a ruler right on the handle.  What I did is measure the distance from the far end of the net opening to the base of the handle shaft, in my case about 21". Next I cut my BOATRULE precisely at the 21" mark (discarding the 1" - 20" section) and applied the rest of the decal.  Now I can measure my steelhead without removing from the water or having to retrieve my fly rod with the Rodrule. ~ I use a couple on my panel saw and table saw.  If you are sliding a lot of material across the face I recommend spraying with a clear coat protectant to increase the life... work great!  Tom B. MN
