The chart links below provide a length to weight conversion to be used with your Rodrules.  The weights provided are approximates only.  Actual weights will vary from geographic locations, fish habitat and lakes & streams.  The charts are conveniently provided in a PDF format.  You will need Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to view.  A link is provided for a free download of Adobe Reader.

Length to Weight Formulas

Walleye length to weight formula
Length x Length x Length divided by 2,700

Example: 18" x 18" x 18" divided by 2,700 = 2.16 lbs.

Example: 30" x 30" x 30" divided by 3,500 = 7.7 lbs.

Length x Length x Length divided by 3,500
Northern Pike length to weight formula

Example: 20" x 20" x 17" divided by 1,200 = 5.6 lbs.

Length x Length x Girth divided by 1,200
Bass length to weight formula

Example: 25" x 13" x 13" divided by 800 = 5.3 lbs.

Length x Girth x Girth divided by 800
Trout & Salmon length to weight formula

Example: 10" x 11" x 11" divided by 1,200 = 1.0 lbs.
